Fax Service: What should I do with this junk (Pic)?
So my dad just let me have this old hp printer/fax machine to do what i want with. it eats ink so it cost alot of $ for ink and it jst doesnt have any use anymore and I dont want to smash it up…i cant sell it and i dnt want to give it away. is there anything cool i can do out of the keypad or parts inside?

You can still use it as a scanner. If you want to dismantle it there are certainly parts which an electronics enthusiast could find a use for, including stepper motors and keypads and the power pack. how about building a robot arm driven by the motors and controlled by the keypad?
Sell it and get an Epson at Epson.com. They’re cheap, have a great exchange 1 year warranty. ALL printers use lots of ink, here’s the solution:
Get a CISS for your printer. It will save you TONS of MONEY, never change a cartridge again and it will pay for itself in a month.

You can get the cartridges refilled for much cheaper.
What model is your printer? If you are doing high-volume printing, you can actually get HP’s value ink cartridges (multi-packs and XL). This way, you’ll get lower cost-per-page.
